Subj : What Version Shoule I Use To : ED VANCE From : WAYNE CHIRNSIDE Date : Thu Jul 14 2005 03:09 pm -> I'm still using Netscape v4.75 on W95. -> I have had some trouble viewing some websites with NS, but switching to -> IE they work OK. -> When I D/L'd v4.75 it took 2 hours at 28.8k. -> I think it was about 19MB big. -> I've read about Mozilla and Thunderbird and wondered what size they are -> to Down Load. -> Also what would be a good Netscape browser version to grab if I wanted -> to go that-a-way? Mozilla or Firefox and Thunderbird. All three are Netscape at the core but without the proprietary crud tagged on. Mozilla has the browser and Newsgroups - mail combined, Thunderbird and Firefox are separate mail - newsgroup and browser. I've used all three myself both in windows and Linux. They work identically in both OS's but are fater in Linux on this old hardware. Mozilla's defaults are far more secure than IE. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5 * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
