I sense you have a deep comprehension regarding Mozilla 1.4 that I hope can address a frustration that is bugging me,(as I go through the purgatory of converting from my attbi.com ISP service to the purchased comcast.net service 8-( Our little soho lan is comprised of my wife's H-P with its OEM XP home o/s, and my Systemax Tiger with my Win98se (the xp-home O/S is on another isolated HD), my IBM2153 Aptiva 300 with my Win98se o/s and my CompUSA WorkSeries 555 with my Win98se o/s. All systems have browsers: M/S IE 5.5 with outlook express; Netscape 5.7; Opero 6.0 and Mozilla 1.4. The NetGear 314 Router connects to a DLink 100 cable modem to the original MediaoneRR ISP and then the attbi.com ISP; before the more recent comcast.com cable supplier. The comcast.com supplied "transitions.exe" managed the conversion of the M/S IE with Outlook Express (which is the only browser comcast fully supports 8-( I have managed to convert most of the Netscape, Opera and Mozilla useing, "The Manual Instructions for Transitioning Customers" comcast supplies at: http://online.comcast.net/connect/manual.asp?track=features The one expection is the SMTP Outgoing Mail server which is shown as, "smtp.comcast.com" This works ok for the other three browsers but not for the Mozilla 1.4 outgoing email. Can you help please? Ciao,Ack. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ If Murphy's law can go wrong, will it? * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
