News groups only

there is a flag in

 Edit>Preferences>Mail&NewsGroups>Mail Server

then click on EDIT for your 'Incoming Mail Server' and select POP the flag
'Leave Messages On Server' is available.

I have this flag unchecked, if I download mail from the server and get a 
dropped carrier then when I reconnect I usually get what mail was left before 
the drop.
