Ha, when I first hooked up to Tampa Bay Computer Societies
BBS I was using the builtin Packard Bell daughterboard 2400
which was barely adaquate for a BBS.
In 1996 I hooked up to the net with a noname brand hardware
modem I bought for 46 dollars U.S., I'm still using that same
modem and it works in DOS and Linux as well as Windows.
