I have an inexpensive MP3 player with extra memory. I just drag and drop the
songs I want onto it and I stole my daughter's cassette adapter. This is an
adapter that looks like a cassette and plugs into the headphone jack of the
MP3 player. I stick the adapter into the cassette slot in my car and then I
can actually use the little MP3 player like a hand held remote as I can
change songs using the "forward" or "back" buttons without taking my eyes off
the road. Similar to the channel changer built into the steering wheel of my
Honda. I think the MP3 format is great for cars and jukebox type players. I
recently went to a bar in Baltimore's inner harbor and the bar tender was
playing MP3s via his laptop cranked through the house system. He had a simple
jukebox system which you can get as a freebie download called jetAudio. I
have it on all my PCs now because it's better than RealAudio and doesn't have
any spyware on it.
