But I don't recall a SK> provision for copying for personal use...what with one owning the SK> original in the first place, what would be the point? In case something happened to the original. If the tape got eaten up or the DVD got scratched. I don't know about that either. I don't know why it would be, but I don't think I've heard about that being a problem. Who knows? SK> lover before the gubment and Metalica came down. ;) SK> I'll be truthful...I stole s***! I did it to see if I liked it SK> though, and then I bought what I liked! Well, I'm not arguing for it or against it in this message, but I think it's one thing if it's to try it out to make sure you're not buying something you don't like, and another if the person is trying to be cheap. I think bands and labels should just let you listen to it online to make sure you like it. I think it's called streaming audio when you can listen to it without downloading it. I think MP3.com did that, but as far as I know, everthing on that site was OK to listen to/download. I don't know how many people fit into the category of being cheap and not caring about buying it and how many into the category of previewing, though. SK> Virgin and Tower should be shut down for having sound stations if SK> Napster is illegal! --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5a * Maybe they get permission first? When I go to music stores, like one tonight, where people can sample songs, the sample were only segments. --- MirageNet HQ! * Origin: The InnerSpace BBS - 757-491-2322 - MirageNet HQ! (1:275/103) .
