Subj : FRIENDLY WARNING To : STEVE KEMP From : David Duvall Date : Sat May 15 2004 11:22 pm *** Quoting STEVE KEMP from a message to DAVID DUVALL *** DD>HC> Sounds like we might have Camouflage Christianity there SK> Nope...P.O.D. is open about their religiosity. (this to Howie) They've actually been around a long time. I think they started in 92 and I first heard of them around 94-95. At one point, I think they were kind of similar to Rage Against the Machine. Their new guitarist used to be in a band called Living Sacrifice. The drummer of Evanescence used to play guitar in that band too. So it's like a connection people Living Sacrifice and now popular bands. :) Living Sacrifice was a lot heavier than both bands too. I guess you could say they were Thrash Metal, then Death Metal, then Metalcore. They used to sound just like Slayer. SK> I read the lyrics and (go finger)...No religion there! I don't know why Chevelle would be considered a Christian band, but maybe the guys consider themselves to be Christians. --- MirageNet HQ! * Origin: The InnerSpace BBS - 757-491-2322 - MirageNet HQ!
