Subj : Greets To : Tim Glore From : David Duvall Date : Wed Mar 03 2004 11:53 pm *** Quoting Tim Glore from a message to David Duvall *** TG> I stand corrected. It's 16. My apology. Got it off their official TG> website at http://dreamtheater.net I didn't know about that many releases. I'll have to check that out sometime. Maybe that includes video (DVD/VHS) too. TG> totally awesome! They are IMHO the most talented and musical TG> progressive rock band i've ever heard. Do you listen to Tool? I'd consider them Prog-rock. I didn't really get into their stuff until a few years ago. Before that, I only liked maybe 2 or 3 songs. I'm not a huge fan or anything, but I guess it's different listening to it on CD than when you hear the same songs on the radio all the time which end up sounding similar. Check out "Elegy" from Amorphis. This album I think is more on the Metal side, they're practically Rock now, but I thought I read they were going back to Metal (I'm not sure). Also check out Opeth. Their album, "Damnation" was pretty much mellow Rock, but the other CD I have by them might be a better recommendation called "My Arms, Your Hearse." (Yes, weird title, but good musically). I'd say it's Heavy/Black/Death Metal mixed with Classical and/or Folk parts and features growled (Death/Black Metal vocals) and "clean" vocals as well. TG> Ah man..would be a definate treat to get to see em live! I'm so TG> hooked which is so unusual for me. Also have been looking at some of TG> their solo stuff linked offtheir web site. Looking forward to hearing TG> as much as i can. Well, there's always the DVD I have. :) How long have you been a fan? --- MirageNet HQ! * Origin: The InnerSpace BBS - 757-491-2322 - MirageNet HQ!
