Subj : Nickelback To : Howie Coombe From : David Duvall Date : Sat Feb 21 2004 11:36 am *** Quoting Howie Coombe from a message to David Duvall *** > Not that i know of. HC> No?, Why not?. > I listen to a lot of heavier music. :) That reason probably. :) How many love songs have Metallica written? I can't think of any. ;) > Oh, earlier I saw the Nickelback song or what was left of them HC> playing it > on TV.... "Someday". HC> I dont know if i know that song but i do know and like Nickelback, HC> quite a bit actually. I didn't really get into them, as far as buying their music, until recently. There were song I'd hear on tv/radio I liked, but a few months ago I decided to get this DVD with all of their videos from tv up to date as well as another I had never seen on tv, but it sounded familiar (probably the radio played it?) called "Leader of Men" which I consider to be one of their best songs. So when I checked out their second to the last album, "Silver Side Up," a couple years ago, I guess I thought the other songs I heard sounded uninteresting. I only sampled the CD at a listening station in a store for maybe a minute or two...whatever amount of time, it wasn't long enough. Then I checked out their new one and it sounded worth checking out. So anyway, I think I got the DVD after checking out the new one, then I got the new one and shortly after the one I checked out a couple years before (which came w/ a live dvd in the package w/ other stuff on it too). I really like this band now. :) They came before, I think with Jerry Cantrell, but of course I didn't go.
