Subj : Tori Amos To : All From : jahmas Date : Wed Nov 19 2003 11:25 am I saw Tori play on public TV the other night. I've known about her for along time but never really listened to her music. I downloaded as much of her stuff as I could find (sorry Tori) so I could put together a disk of her better material. I'm really impressed with the musicanship she exhibits and I'm fascinated by her "strangeness". What is really interesting is that she was historically the youngest person to ever get a full scholarship at Baltimore's Peabody Conservatory of music at five years of age. I think she was also dismissed at age 11 because she refused to follow normal composition and tended to write her own ;) Recommended Listening: Black Dove (January) Raspberry Swirl Winter Cornflake Girl Mary Bliss Spark Jahmas MySTeRia MaJiCKa BBS: BaLTiMORe MD: TeLNeT://MaJiCKa.DaRKTeCH.ORG FiDO 1:229/444 --- Virtual Advanced Ver 2 for DOS * Origin: Mysteria Majicka BBS (1:229/444) .
