Subj : Re: 80's To : Bo Simonsen From : Thorsten Krampe Date : Sun Jul 27 2003 09:20 am Hi Bo! BS>>> Okey. Nearly every thing was more funny in the past.. TK>> At least it seem so. We had a vacation year ago with 5 friends. After TK>> 3 years they wanted to go to the same place for a vacation. And... TK>> like I said... you can't repeat old times. BS> That's right, but you can get quite close :-) Hmm, it wasn't even close. :-( I may have had something to do that we grew up and aren't so easy to impress, or to satisfy. Don't know. After all, it din't went that way as everyone hoped. BS>>> Like fidonet and so on.. TK>> Yeah, but now are only a few of us left, but they are interested. In TK>> the Internet is often only crap told. Question like "male or female" TK>> have never been asked on the Fidonet. BS> A/S/L :/ It's different in Fidonet because we are allways representing us BS> as realnames. At the Internet nicknames is often used. Yes, but with the anonymity the responsibility gets lost. And they just talk crap. Deep conversations are hard to find in the Internet, but to be honest I don't look for it there. :-) BS>>> Dire Straits is cool :) I'm right now listening to Twisting by pool BS>>> :) TK>> Yeah, they are. I've been the my first music-concert back in 1992 in TK>> cologne to see the Dire Straits. After hearing Mark Knopfler play the TK>> guitar made me start taking lessons on the guitar. BS> Okey :-) Mark Knopfler is also good, it's good music to relax too. When he led the Dire Straits the music was more rocking. IMO he gets quieter with every solo-album. BS>>> Oh i hate that kind of shows, we had "Pop stars" the last winner is BS>>> like a Gay. TK>> That's right. We had "Popstars", too. It seem to be this successful TK>> that now the next show "Star Search" is aired in Germany. BS> That's crap, a new show called "Idols" is on the move here. They get cheap "stars" with no background. I think you can only be a real star, when you have played in front of a crowd an 20 people and have increased the number of listeners by the perfomance and the music. Not by having taken part in an tv show. :-( BS>>> Most people is doing it to get famous. TK>> Yes, but why is the audience supporting them? That's what I don't TK>> understand. BS> Because they have done so mutch with their body, voice and so on, so they BS> are nearly perfect, all thought for the famousness.. I mean those casted acts. Eventually they hear the music of those "castet talents" because they wanted to be a star, too. BS> What style of music are your band playing? Well, it turned. We started as a fun-project. We met once a week and jammed. We were 2 guitarrist, a drummer, a keyboarder. After some time some of us started to go to work and wanted to do it with the intetion to be able to play at parties. So we got serious. And after a year or so we played the first part. Then in front of a real crowd. Then it went on. After some time our 2nd guitarist left that band and we had to seek an new one. We found him about 10 month later. And now we are trying to get good enough to be able to perform again. We started as a punk band. We played every song in double speed. :-) Meanwhilest we do a mixture of puns, rock, heavy metal and own written songs.
