About MUSIC
===========
MUSIC is for the friendly discussion of music of any genre in
any language.  Any and all discussion concerning music is allowed,
to include MP3s, studio recording, et cetera.  The discussion of
legal issues surrounding MP3s and people's opinions thereof are
off-topic, period.

Your posting in this echo implies your agreement to the echo rules
and your willingness and ability to abide by them.


Rules
=====
* You may speak in your native tongue here as long as there is an
  English translation in the same message.  I do not speak any
  other language than English and since English is the most common
  language in use today, please follow the rules and either post
  in English or include a translation.

* For Russian speakers: please DO NOT post in Cryllic.  For those of
  us that don't have the charset, it's nothing but garbage and some of
  us pay a lot of money for our bandwidth.  Please be considerate of
  others when posting in here.

* NO SWEARING.  This means YOU.  You do it enough and that is grounds
  for a feed cut.

* For moderating purposes, we (the moderators) use the following code:

  [*] - for minor violation.
  [+] - for major violation.
  [!] - read only mode or disconnection from echo on uplink.

  3x[*]=[+]
  3x[+]=[!]

  If you don't understand this, please ask.

* The moderators reserve the right to moderate in the echo or in netmail.

* Try to get along.  If someone posts something that gives you the urge
  to flame them, walk away from the keyboard and have a cool drink, not
  returning until that feeling passes.  If someone is being a PITA and
  flaming, let the moderatorss handle it, please!

* Please use your real name when posting here.

* Avoid creating unneeded traffic.  Here's a list of basic "No-no's":

  No: BBS ads, 'test' messages, "where are you from" chains, multiple
      tearlines, replies to off-topic messages, encrypted messages, PGP
      sigs, multiline sigs or taglines, playing moderator (unless you -are-
      the moderator), additional headers/footers in messages, hi-ASCII ASCII
      "artwork" (we really -don't- care to see it), uuencoded files, or
      huge amounts of over-quoting. <whew!>

      If a program (reader, tagline mgr, etc.) is adding extra junk to
      messages, please don't use it here.  (The moderators will decide
      what's "extra junk", and let you know.)

      Large/multiline/"artwork" signatures are -greatly- unwelcome, as
      well as listing every email account or FTN-type address you have.
      Leave it out, please.  One -short- line is an "acceptable" signature.

* Please, limit quoting in your replies.  (If you're quoting more than
  a couple lines, you're probably quoting too much.)  Never quote tag/
  tear/origin lines.

* Rules of common courtesy apply at -all- times.  If you want to argue
  with, or complain to someone, do it elsewhere.  Play nice!

* This echo may not be gated (in or out) to any other FTN-style network,
  or the internet, without prior permission of the moderators. Authorized
  gates will be published in the ELIST*.* listing for this echo.

* Legal discussion about MP3s, their creation, et al., is OFF-TOPIC.

* This document is a "living document" and may be changed at any time.
