Subj : Anyone home? To : MICHAEL LOO From : BILL WISE Date : Thu Jun 29 2000 07:54 am I'm finally getting into the "Unanswered Mail" folder. It's been a little busy around here. ML> crash by a U.S. carrier in a couple years, and I went to a ML> baseball game with Bill Wise! Well, it was a game, even if it was a rout by the Braves over the Diamondbacks. Apparently the Arizona team is out of practice altogether, because they don't seem to have improved their performance at all. ML> Well, for me that would be three strikes right there - Bush, ML> stringless, and fast food. Actually the selection of Bush, Junior, was apropos enough. His wife is an alumna of SMU, and he feels "married into the family." He made no political comments whatsoever, and demonstrated a talent not only humor but also brevity. "Stringless" is improperly used, technically, since a single double bass "assisted" the tuba section. The fast food was a cheap way for my ex-daughter-in-law to avoid the expense of a formal reception. One eats where the host(ess) dictates. ML> Now tell me where Granbury is. Also, tell me how the food compares ML> with, say, Los Dos Molinos. Maybe I have to take a special trip to ML> Texas. Granbury is southwest of Fort Worth. I'm not familiar with Los Dos Molinos, so I can't make a comparison. Aside from that, how can you trust the opinion of one who eats fast food? It's too bad that Ann and Bill had that early rising to deal with the following morning. The "pizza" that I had suggested would have been in their general direction, and would have been the Organ Stop Restaurant in Mesa, where the Wurlizter pipes et al are manipulated by (non union-affiliated) musicians who are really pretty good. It's one of those places we always take our "from out-ot-town" visitors.
