iirc you neet to place two at signs there, i.E.

Origin benny@@somewhere.net

The "@" is a magic character for macro expansion, and to achieve a single "@" 
sign in the origin you need to place two @s in the config. The same holds not 
only for origin lines, but also for the message and reply templates.
