Subj : Do you remember the first time you saw Monty Python, movie or TV series To : All From : George Kincaid Date : Sat Apr 09 2005 11:13 pm From: "George Kincaid" I must have been in junior high or so in the late '70s and I was watching one of the three PBS stations we got in my area. It was summer, and my parents were outside, as I remember. On this odd TV show, a strange British guy was bicycling across Britain, and kept getting into wrecks. There was a running gag about the window coming down on a receptionists hands, and Mr. Pithers kept getting lost. I remember howling at the sight gags so much my dad came inside to investigate. He was converted on the spot, too. I've been a Pythonite ever since. MP was cause for concern in the neighborhood for a while. A bunch of the local kids were found in a backyard with tied up handkerchiefs on their heads, standing like Gumbies re-enacting the Architect Sketch! I'd be curious to hear anybody's else's first memories of Monty Python. Up there!! --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5 * Origin: FidoNet MONTE <--> alt.fan.monty-python (1:379/45) .
