Eric Idle's Tv appearences may not be the funniest but let's face it Suddenly Susan was badly written and even Groucho Marx couldn't have made it funny (likewise with Caspar). I think its quite good that Terry Jones has moved to more scholarly persuits - I enjoyed his Medieval Lives series immensly. He also writes fantastically good stuff in his (occasional) missives in the broadsheets about politics (I recommend you check out his book with a complilation of them). As for Eric Idle looking a wee bit "wierd" in his old age - time does that to you. We can't all be as well preserved as Michael Palin.
