Yup, definitely John.  Another fact that tends to remind me that he played both 
(besides the tossing the broadcast to himself, which was already pointed out) 
is the fact that John does two wonderful (and extremely punishing-looking) 
death scenes in the same ep.  He does nearly the same "croaking" later on as 
the Nazi officer in the Killer Joke sketch while interrogating Palin.  He gets 
great height and sticks the landing on both.
