I see no reason why he would have succumbed to peer pressure when the moderator of those echos allowed the elisting to expire in the first place. The only party he'd be obliged to accomodate would be the former elisted moderator. Everyone else could go to hell. OTH, to publically reinforce his stated position that he rescues echos with the intent of returning them to the elisted moderators upon request; The act of returning these echos, in particular, would have done a lot for his credibility - had it not been for the constant pressure of those RCs and the NAB nerd who chided him from the beginning.
