Actually, he was very prompt, apologetic and immediately set all of his Fidonet 
gates (he gated with my permission now! ;) to read-only to prevent further 
problems.  He's, judging by his second email, heavily involved in the KDE 
Project (X Windows desktop for Linux)... I told him feel free to gate my echoes 
as long as they're read only.  He's evidently going to make people log in to 
post to Fidonet via NNTP on his system... and he apologized for the spam, 
saying that he takes this very seriously on his part.

Overall, I'd say this gent more than made up for his mistake-he really 
impressed me by his speed and type of response! :)
