People have a curious sense of what's private.  The clown in the next car 
over sitting there with his finger up his nose doesn't think anyone can see 
him.  
Likewise, someone posting to friends and acquaintances on an echo thinks that 
only they should be privy to the conversation.

Good rule of thumb: Do not do, say, or write anything you wouldn't want the 
whole world to see, because they just might...
