Then let the users decide what echoes they want to read -- or, more to the 
point -- forbidding them from creating new echoes when they're dissatisfied 
with what's available, which what you're advocating boils down to.

How about an area HAM and an area AMATEUR_SATELLITE and an area XMTRS and an 
area AMATEUR_UHF, etc.
