Subj : I think things have gone overboard. To : PHIL SIMPSON From : EARL CROASMUN Date : Sun Oct 06 2002 10:19 pm -> EC> On Oct. 1, Ceppa posted this: "If you are a downlink or a user of -> EC> 1:379, please look for another feed if you want to continue to -> EC> access this Echo. It appears that the "Mail Mover" for that link -> EC> is deciding to not move the mail between us." This apparently -> EC> stemmed from Dale Ross saying on his BBS that THAT BBS may be -> EC> dropping Ceppa's echo at some point, since it is a redundant echo. -> EC> Each reader can speculate on the possible motives for Ceppa's -> EC> reaction. -> As a sysop of a BBS he is entitled to add and remove echos without /your/ -> or anyone else's approval. I understand as a mail hub he will not not be -> removed the echo from distribution. What is your problem with that? "Problem?" I have no problem with it at all! Not only is he "entitled" to, but I happen to agree with and applaud his move. I was pointing out the source of the disinformation. When Roy Witt commented to the effect of "Stan is full of it," it should have really been "Ceppa's disinformation is full of it, and Gothreau's inaccurate paraphrase is too." -> I can't blame him for getting pissed, you people are seeing things that aren't -> there and making up stories thru your imagination. I've dealt with Dale for -> awhile now and find a good mail mover and a trusted one. You're still griping -> over spilt milk from awhile ago when someone didn't know the proper process -> for a feed cut. Learn from your mistakes or stew in'em. My question is this, -> "Is your name Stew?" Re-read my post with a more open mind. Dale has been very clear as to what he was doing and not doing. Ceppa and Gothreau are working through various personal grudges and vendettas. When I read Roy Witt's message I just wanted to interject into the thread the facts that Ceppa had initiated disinformation and Gothreau was inaccurately paraphrasing others, in the hopes that their statements would not be taken at face value. "Someone?" Such a vague reference! Hmmm. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5a * Origin: BBS Networks @ www.bbsnets.com 808-839-5016 (1:10/345) .
