Hmmm, mail to elistin@fido261.qis.net is listed in an RBL? Try it again, and then netmail(routed) me a copy of the bounce message. RV> BTW - Take a look at: http://www.safesurf.com/press/press27.htm Very interesting article...and yes, there are a few knee-jerk anti-spam zealot orginizations that are more than willing to paint with a very broad brush. One of the worst, in my opinion is SPEWS. Not only to they label folks as spammers who are not, they do so behind a cloak...you can't really reach them. If you are mislabeled or get your connectivity through someone on their list and post a request to be removed in their newsgroup, more often than not the mystical they tells you to simply get your sevice for another provider. I operate a technical mailing list for amateur radio operators, and my IP is in the SPEWS database. So when a message gets bounced, I use another email address to list the person know why. They usually ask for more explanation...and one of the things I do is suggest that they do EXACTLY what SPEWS says...take their business elsewhere. So far, about 50 per cent of the time, when they email their ISP and ask them to remove the block, or they will switch IPS's, the block is removed. One of my local ISPs, a library of thousands of customers, refuses to use any of the spam blockers....and he has a pretty good set of stats to show inaccuracies, etc. cya, thom baltimoremd@baltimoremd.com http://www.tlchost.net/echolist/ --- GEcho 1.20/Pro * Origin: Home of The Other Robot (1:261/1352) .
