No, the truth is that moderators are required by distribution (in this zone at least) to list their echo in order for it to propagate. Those that list, but do not propagate here, likely do so in order to prevent cross linking into this zone. I showed one good example of where that happened when I created an echo. It appeared that an unlisted echo by the same tag existed on the other side of the pond. I believe I even turned over my listing to the other moderator because, like I said time and time again, I support moderators. A comparison is the telephone industry. Prior to deregulation, if one desired telephone service, they had no choice but to pay bell. Most did not bitch and just went along with the system. I do not deny that we need an echo list.
