I don't like foxes in henhouses.  I'd rather see a commissioner police the 
league, rather than let the good ol' boys do what they want. <grumble>

The local media has been having a field day, saying "Oh, but Steinbrenner 
didn't go overboard like the Rangers did."  Oh, really?  How much did BILL 
CASTRO and all kinds of other HOF players get when Steinbrenner was out buying 
his team?  What a bunch of crap.

He started it.  Oddly enough, the aformentioned Ty Cobb was a major player in 
the movement to get players a fair day's wage for a fair day's work.  I wonder 
if he had visions of what was to come.
