We used to play a similar game in Detroit, when we had an owner who was going 
to milk the city/county/state for whatever he could, threatening to move the 
team to Florida if he didn't get what he wanted.  Finally, we all called his 
bluff, and he sold the team to someone who has not only invested money in it 
(although it loses regularly :), but who has invested a serious chunk of cash 
in the city itself.

It's a Frankenstein's monster.  I wish I could make the minimum wage that some 
of these guys make!
