I have been giving some serious thought about putting up an Internet BBS. It 
wouldn't be QuickBBS as I run here but Synchronet BBS. The ONLY reason why I'm 
posting it to these echoes is that I was guaging interest in it. *IF* there's 
enough interest, I would allow only members of these various echoes access to 
the BBS and there might be some burps as I first get it going. I will 
experiment with a 10-node system with QWK. I want to get more people involved 
with Fidonet and if that means the Internet then so be it. I probably won't 
upgrade the system to try to make it robust simply because I'd rather have you 
log on, download/upload your QWK packets and then leave. Who knows, there IS a 
chat facility so there might be times for people to chat amongst each other.

BTW, if there's enough interest and I do go through with it (or even if I 
don't), I suggest that you download CRT (or SecureCRT) as the Telnet client of 
choice.
