I looked up Phil Niekro, who, TTBOMK, is the oldest of the old guys in recent 
memory.  Niekro was born in '39 and last played in '87, when he was 48.  Who's 
the youngest?  Still Nuxhall?

Incidentally, I felt very old to read about Tim Raines playing against his son, 
after having pulled Raines's rookie card out of a package of cards and 
bubblegum as a kid.  And then the Expos are carrying Tony Armas, Jr:  We used 
to ride his old man pretty hard when he showed up at Tiger Stadium. <heh>
