Now that hurts! I would be really pissed if someone had the gall (and the back)
to steal my Tascam 88!

Fostex made good sounding stuff. My first single was done on a Fostex 16X, 1/2
inch
16 track. On vinyl...I use it for my 'after the football game, news producer's
theme song'. Heh. I open the thing with just the background trax of one of my
songs. Doesn't garner those beloved BMI payments (I have one song that was
recorded
back in '94 by a professional southern gospel group and got air play throughout
the 
South that still gets about $8 worth of plays a quarter. :-) It is a pittance,
I know,
but still my badge of success. :p But in the beginning it was near $125 a
quarter
and then declined through the years to where it is now.
