I am running DD>> WIN98 on both. BC> What you need is either a proxy server (software) or BC> something like BC> Wingate(software) that will allow you to access the modem BC> across the network. Win98SE actually has this built-in, though Wingate'll work as well of course. BC> I am using Wingate on my network and it is working fine BC> except for one thing. I have not been able(nor had the BC> time) to get a telnet connection to work across the network. Telnet to your gateway machine, eg "gateway" or whatever you set it up as. You then get a "Wingate ready" prompt. Then type in the address you want to go to, such as "ftp.cdrom.com" If you want a special port; "ftp.cdrom.com 110" -- Simon Devon, England --- Digital Dilemma * Origin: NC of Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.
