Subj : DOS and NTFS. To : GERALD MILLER From : JEAN PARROT Date : Fri Jul 02 2004 10:31 am Hello Gerald, 'tis a nice day today. GM> Hmmmm. When XPP crashed last month, I took it to a tech (and it's my GM> fault that I wasn't explicit enough about two 20GB partitions with GM> FAT-32 format) and it is one 40GB partition with NTFS format. I GM> haven't tried to run any kind of DOS programs on it yet..... I'll have GM> to get back to you when I finally give it a try. The DOS PRGs run here, Gerry, fear not. I am also on XPP. So it was a tech that made you do it. The devil tech ! GM>> Since I had 3.11 (never really used it), Count me out here. I had it for a few months only, IIRC. GM> With this last ditty, I would hazard a guess that you're a Canuck! I got a CD and an SS, in the RCAF, so . . . GM> As a side note, I finally tried the D&D on both XPP and W98SE copying GM> files from each -- success!!! That is the way to do it use the GUI to the hilt. GM> P.S. I will go searching for Zone Alarm and set it up this weekend (or GM> next) on at least the XPP. There has been a problem with the last update for ZA. It might lock up your system. I have reverted back to the previous client and that one is fine. If you get locked up, let me know and if you give me your addy I will attach the version .45 to it to replace the v.50, that is the faulty one. ___ Blue Wave/DOS v2.30 --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5 * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
