When XPP crashed last month, I took it to a tech (and it's my fault that I wasn't explicit enough about two 20GB partitions with FAT-32 format) and it is one 40GB partition with NTFS format. I haven't tried to run any kind of DOS programs on it yet..... I'll have to get back to you when I finally give it a try. I'm going to go visit a used computer store tomorrow and see if I can get a reasonable computer system (for a respectable price) to set up W2k.... With this last ditty, I would hazard a guess that you're a Canuck! ;-)) As a side note, I finally tried the D&D on both XPP and W98SE copying files from each -- success!!! I pulled up Total Commander on both machines, mapped each of the network drives and found it to be a #_LOT_# easier to transfer files between the two boxes. I will try doing some serious work on WfW311 this weekend (now that I know I can use Total Commander for copying/moving files); it just means that I will have to take my Fidonet system down because the mouse and the external modem both use the same comm port.... [I swear the tagline is totally random...] P.S. I will go searching for Zone Alarm and set it up this weekend (or next) on at least the XPP. Cheers ... Gerald ....
