It just may be a different way of setting them. Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I don't like it when my work interferes with my life. I may have to take a more serious look at trying to set up the DOS network through WFWG.... This morning, I had tried to run my Fidonet mailer batch file after inserting "install=c:\dos\share.exe" into my CONFIG.SYS file. The batch file presented me with a "Access denied" error message when it was attempting to write to a temp file on the RAM disk. I may have to look at the possibility of creating a NETSTART.BAT... I've REMmed out the network lines in my AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files (temporarily) while I track the possibly problems. I _think_ the main problem will be with using the SHARE.EXE file. My mailer is FrontDoor v2.26SW and when I had tried using SHARE for the FD mail editor, SHARE had presented me with similar error messages on previous occasions... I had thought that one box at a time was the better way to deal with the set ups; information overload can become overwhelming when I'm trying deal with many things. Speaking of "out of whack", I have to contact my IPS today. My cable modem's 'idiot light' indicates that the cable is not connected, and before you ask, yes, I've checked that the cable is not loosened... BC> Did you get the ULR's I sent? YES! Thank you VERY MUCH. The URLs were most helpful, especially one in particular. Some of the sites had links that displayed "the information has been removed", but on the whole, there is plenty of info to keep me going for a while. Cheers ...
