Subj : Domain ? To : JONATHAN ROBERTS From : JEAN PARROT Date : Tue Apr 01 2003 09:36 am Hello, Jonathan, it is a great day here. JP> If you can tell me what this "Domain" really is in Network, I JP> would love to hear. A domain to me is a Web address like JP> 45.122.65.44. JR> This is referring to a network domain ie. a Windows NT or 2000 JR> network managed by a primary domain controller. In my case, I had no domain, I was attempting a Direct cable link, called Inbound Connection in W2K. Then, again, the question, what to type in there ? The network name in both putor was a very simple "A" and the two putors were named Oldie and Thinkpad. I seem to remember that when first connected, it renamed itself TP-2. Have you ever seen this in W2K ? ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.12 --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5 * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) .
