Subj : 100mbit To : All From : Sean Dennis Date : Fri Sep 27 2002 11:44 am Hello, All. I found that 100mb on a LAN made a substansial (sp?) difference when moving files around, running programs across the LAN, etc. I've got four computers on my LAN (166mhz file server running Slackware 8.1, 700mhz Celeron running W2K, 850 mhz BBS server running XP and 1.4GHz running W2K) and when I upgraded all the machines to 100mbit, there was a big difference in speed. It was especially evident when using the internet through my router.
