If it's anything to do with Win then you have to look to third party software. I believe it is available to allow shareing of modems, however MS do not support it in any way, shape, or form. Either: i) get a switch box for manual control. ii) with some line drivers and some logic ICs build a unit to automatically switch between two (or more) serial ports (the PCs) and a common target port (the modem). iii) install OS/2 on both machines...
