In the cooking echo, I told how Roscoe battled a crab. Now, Don likes to go fishing and sometimes it's crabbing. Living in VB, crabs are free for the taking and one day about 3 months ago, Don came back with a cooler full. We'd started the water and left the cooler in the kitchen with the lid on. Apparently Roscoe found the smell and sounds interesting as he managed to get the lid off. (we didnt know). One bold crab clambered out and the first we knew was when 'Battle Royale' started! That silly crab decided it wanted to try out *ROSCOE'S DRY FOOD!* We heard battle start and ran in to see what was up. First noted was a little 'chink' as Roscoe took a swipe at the offending claw holding a bit of his dry food (hit the stove, chink). Thom (the 23 lber) was treed on the cat perch, looking down. Face was cornered and apparently cowed by this crab. Roscoe was LIVID! Attack kitty mode struck and he went to battle before we could do anything. A rather loud battle ensued and we had to put the crab out of it's misery then unclamp the claw he'd lost, still gripping Roscoe's tail . Roscoe won a little crab that night . We stuck a brick on the top and ate the rest as you can imagine. xxcarol --- Telegard v3.09.g2-sp4 * Origin: SHENK'S EXPRESS Norfolk VA 757-486-3057 28.8 Dual (1:275/100) .
