I mean, after 2.5 yrs of living with the lil person I have come to learn what the meows -mean-. Heh, I've even found a few words that I meow to him that he responds to and DO mean something I wish (pray, grovel, and any other word that means things like begging :) him to do. Early training and repetition helped a lot though. According to a show I watched this morn, cats are _not_ a vocal species. The meowing is a learned trait. If a cat meows this way they can get the two-leggeds to do this for them. If they meow another way they can get us to do something else.
