My late neighbour sent me this:

THE CAT'S CONFESSION

Oh father, oh father I've come to confess,
I've left the house in a terrible mess.
The curtains are ripped and just hanging on,
They left the Bird cage open, now the Budgie has gone.
I could not get in so I clawed the front door,
The brand new bone china is brand new no more.
I climbed on the roof when they went to the market,
Down the chimney I went, now there's soot on the carpet.
I sharpened my claws on the expensive new chair.
He's just varnished a table,
Now it's covered in hair.
So when they get back and see things aren't the same,
Please answer my prayers so the dog gets the blame !!
