Twiddling my thumbs
And counting my fingers.
The cat is sleeping
And a daydream lingers.
Trapped in my chair,
But not because I'm fat.
I'm trapped here
'Cos I'm 'bed' for the cat.
I want a coffee,
But I can't get one.
Pussy is snoring,
I wish she was gone.
She is waking up,
She then starts to purr.
She walks away,
And I'm covered in fur.
Pick and pull
Off her hairs
When I'm finished,
Pussy has no cares.
At last! Fur removed
The chair is no longer a trap.
Oh dear, here comes pussy,
And she jumps in my lap.
