I know this is a slightly old message, but I thought I would add my twoCcents,
as I just read through 453 messages to get here and enjoyed every one of them.
I think that it's a nice idea, but I also think that reading all of the old
messages gives new users a change to get the feel of a place before they start
posting. Also, it can help keep the same simple questions from being asked many
times over. (Or, according to several Sync setup related issues, mabey not...)
Besides, there is the ability to skip to a message that is closer to the end of
the que, if the user is sufficiently advanced enough. (I know how, but I choose
not to.)
