Thanks f > the help. > LeRoy I've been tinkering myself with making a "home page" for the BB using the code that comes stok with the BBS. Using frames,it should be pretty easy to add a "who's on.. etc" section, with a java telnet applet. Seems like th emajority of folks who know what a telnet client is are sysops.. I hope to bring in some newbies. And since hundreds of great flash games are available online.. (on my site), I've solved the last setback of running SBBS for linux. BTW.. notice to all who care.. a new variant of the "cinik" worm has started.. its a variant of the old slapper linux worm. Its a nasty little bugger, killing it incorrectly only starts a nast DoS attack. I was able to catch it in th act.. and have the source if anyone is interested. I've sent e-mails to red hat, Mcaffres, etc.. It works in a similar manner to the old one.. overloading the remote buffer, infecting., compiling itself.. then your machine is used as a "slave" for future DoS attacks on other systems. Anyone with a decent router need not worry about it. Rob.. any chance of a util that exports a SBBS user list to a SQL db? .
