Certail tools that are used in business, such as pcAnywhere use Zmodem for file transfers and they work fine. The overhead that is associated with telnet and the actual transfer and the slow connection speed of uploading DSL/Cable modems may cause Zmodem to cancel out. WildCat5 and Synchronet are in two different categories and I wouldn't compare them. I've used both, ran both, and prefer Synchronet to be more "standards" based then anything. dm .
