Subj : BBS Setup question To : Richardw From : Aceboy Date : Wed Feb 13 2002 01:03 am Re: BBS Setup question By: Richardw to Aceboy on Wed Feb 13 2002 07:58 am Yah it worked. Basically you can tell the cable modem router to forward to one IP address and only one I guess for security reasons. The addy of my PC was 192.168.1.100 so I went into the configuration and had everything forward to that IP address. Needless to say when I set up my DNS of darkside.dtdns.net that it logged in perfectly. I came here to work and it worked, but I think the BBS crashed at home though :-( I got logged in and I got to the part where it asks if I want to enter the synchronet match maker and I hit enter for no and it just hung. Now I cant telnet in so Im thinking something happened at home. Anyone heard of this happen. Im also running v3.00B and I thought I saw rob was running 3.10. Is that available to the public for download? Thanks again to everyone who was patient in helping me get going.
