Does that make any sen You must configure that cable modem router to do the port forwarding for you. The cable modem router acts as a firewall, so requests never reach your pc. It must be configured to forward the request to a machine on your local network. As I've never done this, I have no clue how to do it with a cable modem router. Please share your experiences, as I might need to do this in the near future. .
