To be a full-fledged member of the NAACP, you have to be black.
Only full-fledged members of the NAACP can be officers.  And BTW,
blackface doesn't count.  White folks can be associate members.
Yellow folks can be associate members.  Red folks can be associate
members. Brown folks can be associate members.  But only black folks
can be full-fledged members.  Never mind that black has many shades
of brown. Never mind that some black folks are more white than white
folks. It all depends on what the meaning of black is.
