I'm curious why you are burning at such low speeds ? Often slow speeds create more errors than higher speeds because the drive is just not designed to run that slow. Super slow burning is often used to duplicate certain copy protected CD's which have a lot of odd data purposely built in just to confuse the burner but for straight data copies the burner knows the maximum speed the disks can support and will adjust itself to accomodate that. I won't guarantee they can be read by every CD drive out there but the drive that burned it should have no problem reading it later. I was a fan of low speed burns when I was still using my old LG 32x 4x 4x as it's disks could be read by Anything including super old 1x and 4x CD drives but I recently replaced it with a newer LG 52x 32x 52x CDRW and it burns at whatever speed the disks support and so far I haven't had a single 'coaster' burned. I've seen it auto-dial-down to 4x for some old CDRW disks I still use and go as high as 48x for some newer CDR's I have, and they all work fine. BTW.. I'm using Nero 6.6 Ultra for this.. Not sure if there's a Linux version of that or not.. --- þ SLMR Rob þ Mike's Vet and Taxidermy: Either way you get yer dog back þ PDQWK 2.52 #17 --- þ BgNet 1.0á12 ÷ Capitol City Online * KY * 502/8758938 v34 * cco.ath.cx .
