Ok, I reran the tests.  The results were inconsistant.  I tried to UL one
file. Hit Alt-U, and the transfer window came up.  It went to 100%, and just
sat there.  After waiting several seconds for it to go away on it's own, I
hit ESC.  Then I got a bunch of high-ascii gargage on the screen.  I could
not escape out of that at all.  I had to hang-up and call in again.

I tried it with a different file, and it seemed to work fine.

These were binary files, if that makes a difference.
