Subj : Best *nix BBS editor?

Hey all...a quick question for all of you running Synchronet on UNIX.  What is
the best external editor?  I know it is POSSIBLE to get WWIVedit working but I
haven't had much luck with that.  Right now I'm using a custom-compiled version
of NANO with severe restrictions (locked to one directory, no shelling out, no
read capability, etc).  It works, but it does something to reset the terminal
on exit, disabling the IBM extended characters when it exits (on
Xterm/Kterm/PuTTY, but NOT on Syncterm).
