Deuce, I have actually found a desktop design that actually comes close to
what you described (about a week ago in a different sub you had a blurb on UI
design).

Have you seen the screenshots for SymphonyOS?

Take note that the access to menus and whatnot are through those tiny icons in
the extreme corners of the desktop. ;)

Here's a little blurb from the "about symphony os" page:

What do ya think? Not too terrible IMO.
